🚨 NOTICE — Telfair County Rec Department

Due to ongoing construction and renovations at the Telfair County Recreation Department, all softball and baseball fields are CLOSED until further notice.

🚫 Please stay off all fields during this time. This will help keep everyone safe and prevent damage to the fields while work is being completed.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. We’ll provide an update when the fields are cleared for use.

Due to inclement weather adult Tennis has been canceled tonight, August 11, 2026.

Thank you to everyone who showed interest in our Adult Basketball and Adult Tennis programs!

Unfortunately, we did not have enough participants to move forward with the Adult Basketball league.

The good news is that Adult Tennis is on! Our season will begin Thursday, July 30, 2026, at 6:00 PM.

We look forward to seeing everyone on the court and having a great season. See you there!

In about a month or so, when you visit the Telfair County Recreation Department, you’ll notice a completely different look! Renovations are officially underway, and we’re excited about the improvements coming to the park.

During construction, please be mindful of heavy equipment and construction workers throughout the park. Your patience and cooperation will help keep everyone safe as we work to make these exciting upgrades.

The youth All-Star season is officially in the books, and now it’s the adults’ turn!

Who’s ready for some adult tennis 🎾 and adult basketball 🏀?

It’s time to lace up the shoes, grab the racket, and show these kids we’ve still got a little game left! Whether you’re looking to compete, stay active, or just have some fun with friends, we want to see you out there.

Let’s make this an exciting season for our adult athletes, just like our youth had this summer!

Congratulations to the Telfair County 10U Boys All-Stars on an incredible season and a Class C State Runner-Up finish!

On behalf of the Telfair County Recreation Department, I would like to thank all of our players, coaches, parents, sponsors, fans, and supporters for making the 2026 season such an amazing year. Your hard work, dedication, and support helped make this a memorable season for a truly outstanding group of young men.

We are extremely proud of everything this team accomplished and the way they represented Telfair County throughout the season.

We would also like to congratulate the Jeff Davis 10U Boys All-Stars on winning the state championship. You guys are an outstanding team, and your achievement is well deserved. Thanks also to Appling County Recreation Department for such an amazing state tournament with great umpires, grounds crew and hospitality.

District 2 was represented exceptionally well, and we are proud to have been a part of it.
