Words can’t adequately describe how proud I am of these dancers. To have the privilege to see them grow both as dancers and as humans year after year is something I never take for granted. “Color Splash 2026” was SO much fun!!

Recital Tip #9: Recital Program Books! These 124-page books just came in and they are gorgeous! They make great gifts for grandparents, extended family, and friends as a memento from the day. All dancer families receive one complimentary copy, and any additional copies can be purchased for $15. We’ve also heard several parents say they like to get 2 - one for their kid to look through endlessly, and the other to keep nice! Thank you in advance for supporting all the hard work that went into them 🥰

When co-founder and 22-year office manager Miss Joanne passed suddenly last March, we set up a non-profit scholarship fund in her honor. Each year, a $500 scholarship is awarded to someone at the recitals. The announcement will be in the recital program book! Recital tip #8: Food truck hours 🍗🍦☕️

We will have 3 food trucks set up this year, as well as several souvenir items in the lobby for you to take a look at before and after the shows, and during intermission. Here are the hours each food truck will be there:

Chick-Fil-A: All Day
Travelin Tom’s Coffee Cart: 1-6
Millie’s Ice Cream: 1-3

Recital tip #6: No flash photography/videography. All theaters prohibit the use of flash photography. When students are looking out to the audience from the stage, they can’t see people, they just see complete darkness due to the bright stage lights. When you use a flash towards them, it can temporarily blind them, causing them to lose focus, be distracted, and is potentially hazardous as they can’t see where the stage ends in front of them! Pictures without a flash are permitted and of course pictures in the lobby by our banner and balloon arch are encouraged and the perfect memory to capture!

We have hired a professional videographer, and you will all be emailed a digital copy of both shows, so no need to try to get a bootleg of the performance! Just enjoy the show in the moment of watching your dancer do what they love 💙
