For the younger child we offer nature, seasonal, and simple stories performed with our delightful wool-felted table puppets, finger puppets and rod puppets. These can be performed on a stage or with the “story apron” on the puppeteer’s lap. Young children love these puppets, stories and accompanying songs! A wonderful addition to school curriculums as well, our performances, rich in language and imaginative pictures, support the child’s growing vocabulary, listening comprehension and attention span while feeding their active imaginations. By creating living pictures that reflect what it means to be human, they strengthen the child’s sense of self and can be helpful for building healthy social skills. Our marionette and rod puppets are especially effective and therapeutic for children on the autism spectrum.
