Every year, it is an honor to recognize our Fair & Rodeo Ambassadors at Senior Awards ceremonies. On June 1st, Fair Board member Greg Wildhaber presented our $1,000 College Scholarship certificate to 2026 Fair Ambassador Kenzie Kauer at Amity High School.



Greg commented, “Kenzie impressed our interview panel with her high academic standards and leadership abilities, including service as a class officer and as President of Amity’s FFA Chapter. She is also Vice-President of Farmers and Friends 4-H Club and has shown pigs and steers at our County Fair for four years. Our judges appreciate Kenzie’s clear, concise communication skills – making her a perfect Fair Ambassador!”

Dayton’s Cinco de Mayo parade was a great start for our 2026 Fair & Rodeo Ambassadors Kenzie, Abby, Lilly ( riding her horse Callie), and Peyton. Our parade float was beautifully decorated with a cute red barn and barnyard animals provided by County Commissioner Kit Johnston. Thank you Kit!



Fair Board members Brent Turley and Scott Miller supplied the flat-bed trailer and the truck and Yamhill County Rodeo Committee members installed the decorations, painted the trailer, and walked in the parade handing out candy and postcards. Many thanks to Brent, Scott, and our Rodeo Committee!
