Y'all, I made a recipe last night and it's so good! (the photo isn't mine, but that is what they look like. I just don't have any photography skills.)

Apple Cider Cookies (adapted from several recipes and then just went off the map)

Preheat oven to 375.
Mix dry ingredients: 3c flour, 1 t. baking powder, 1/4 t. baking soda, 1/2 t. salt, 1 T. cinnamon, 1.5 t. nutmeg

Cream butter and sugar - 2 sticks soft butter (unsalted), 1/2 c. white sugar, 3/4 c. light brown sugar. When it's creamed add in 1 egg, and 1/4 c. apple cider.

Mix in the dry ingredients. Add another 1/4 c. apple cider.

Cook on 375 for IDK. it was like 12-15 min.

Make a thin, drizzling icing out of powdered sugar and apple cider.
Drizzle on top when done and enjoy! ❤

Also, register for hearth fires. These cookies will make an appearance this year. Also also: this is the worst idea ever for breakfast, but since it's apple cider flavored, I'm giving myself a pass.

Hearth Fires is now a part of Fireside Path Educational Foundation.

Mission Statement:

Through skill-building, cultural exchange, ecological harmony, and bold self-expression, we foster a community of mutual support and collective transformation. We believe that by educating across boundaries and generations, we help each other grow, heal, and build a more just and joyful world—learning from the past to protect the future from ignorance and injustice, and build a world of self sovereignty and democratic ideals.

Hearth Fires Festival and Striking Sparks will continue and grow under this new banner. If you are interested in becoming a part of the founding work, please reach out.

So tell us - what classes, academic, skill based, or otherwise, are you needing right now to help you? Civil rights? How to raise chickens? Budgeting? Protest rights?
