McLean Theatre Company (aka The McLean High School Theatre Company) is a theatre company comprised of students, parents and teachers at the McLean High School who work together to produce challenging and award winning theatrical productions. ean Theatre Company has received the highest honors from the Cappies, "Critics and Awards Program" for its production of Arthur Miller's A View From The Bridge and RENT: School Edition. It was nominated for seven Cappies and received Best Play, Best Actor and Best Actress with A View From The Bridge, and nominated for four Cappies including Best Lead Actor, Lighting, Set Design and Special Effects and Technology with RENT. The critics team received over 11 nominations and won 2012 Cappies for Best Critic Team, Best Returning Critic and The Washington Post Award. Women and Wallace was chosen to represent Virginia at the International Thespian Conference last summer in Omaha, Nebraska. In 2013, McLean High School was named Liberty District Champions in the Virginia High School League (VHSL) One-Act Play Competition with it's production of How I Learned to Drive. The home of McLean Theatre Company is the 700 seat Burke Auditorium and the more intimate 75 seat Black Box Theater at McLean High School in McLean, Virginia.
