OK- this will be a long post, bear with me... After looking at VFW Hall again I decided to do something different to bring the music together. (Note on VFW Hall- they now cost more and the communication has been lacking) SO, on SATURDAY OCTOBER 17 let's do LANGLEY ACOUSTIFEST. This is also meant as a Great Falls/McLean reunion of sorts. I will be bugging you Great Falls and Langley folks to come out because we all know our dwindling opportunities to see friends that shaped our lives (everyone I know touched mine, that's for sure) WHERE? GREAT FALLS PARK in the area of the high water mark tower. For you way back folks like me that is near where the merry go round was. Musicians- bring acoustic guitars (anyone have an acoustic bass?) Recorders, flutes, light percussion. Note if you travel in I have some extra guitars and we can share. You may be asking "what if is rains?"- I am looking at back-up and have a few ideas. But we have a pretty good chance of good weather in mid-October here. You also may be asking "why a meet up at Great Falls Park?" Because it is simple- just show up (please). No worrying about expenses/head count/moving my whole studio. Bring some chairs. There are grills there. 1 PM OCT 17- a chance to connect. It will be worth the effort.- thanks, Jon
