Ready to take the stage for MRT's 20th annual production of A Christmas Carol?

Audition details are live on our website, and roles are available for performers ages 5 and up! We're also looking for singers to join our Carolers.

Auditions are on Sept. 28 & 29 at 6:30 PM at the Covenant Church - North Campus in McKinney at 975 S. Central Expressway.

This year, we're celebrating the future while honoring 20 years of A Christmas Carol—but we're also navigating an unexpected challenge. With MPAC renovations extending through mid-December, we’re working with Covenant Church to bring this year's production to the stage.

And this is what community theatre is all about: coming together, adapting when things don't go as planned and finding a way to keep telling the stories that bring us together.

Some traditions need a little help finding their next stage. ❤️🎄

We are incredibly grateful to Covenant Church for partnering with MRT to help us continue our 20th annual production of A Christmas Carol.

With MPAC renovations extending into mid-December, we knew we needed to find another venue for this year's production. Thanks to Covenant Church, we'll be bringing A Christmas Carol to their McKinney location by US 75 this holiday season.

Their willingness to open their doors and partner with us means we can keep a beloved McKinney tradition going for its 20th year.

This is what community looks like.

Thank you, Covenant Church, for helping us keep the story—and the tradition—alive.
And thank you to everyone in our community who continues to support MRT as we navigate this unexpected season.

What does a youth theatre program have to do with a 20-year Christmas tradition?
Everything.
Because every tradition starts with people.
Today's young performer could become tomorrow's actor.
Today's audience member could become tomorrow's volunteer.
Today's student could become tomorrow's director, designer, teacher, or theatre supporter.
That's how community theatre grows.
