🎨✨ Celebrating Local Artists at Crème de la Crème 2026!

What an incredible evening at the Visual Arts Guild of Frisco (VAGF) Crème de la Crème Exhibition Reception at the Frisco Discovery Center!

Held on Sunday, October 11, 2026, from 6:30–8:30 PM, the reception featured cash prize announcements and beautiful music by the Frisco Youth Symphony Orchestra, making it a wonderful celebration of art and community!

With 203 artwork submissions and only 70 pieces selected for this juried exhibition, it was an honor to be part of such an impressive showcase of North Texas talent.

We were especially excited to see four LAST Art Gallery artists represented in the exhibition, and a HUGE congratulations to Leticia for winning FIRST PLACE! 🏆👏

My piece, “A Calling Home,” was also selected for the exhibition, and I'm grateful to share space with so many talented artists.

🖼️ Missed the reception? The exhibition is still on display through October 24!

Congratulations to all the participating artists and award winners, and thank you to VAGF for bringing our creative community together!

🎨 Sometimes art says what words can’t.

One of the joys of sharing artwork in person is getting to stand beside someone as they really look—noticing the details, asking questions, sharing what they see, and discovering the story behind a piece.

Those conversations are part of the art, too. They create a connection between artist, artwork, and viewer that simply can’t be replicated anywhere else.

Melinda treasures these moments—the conversations, the curiosity, and the human connections that happen when people experience art together. ❤️

✨ The best part of sharing art is sharing the moment.

Art has a beautiful way of turning strangers into conversations. A piece catches someone’s attention, a story is shared, and suddenly there’s a connection that didn’t exist a few minutes before.

These are the moments that make being an artist so rewarding—the opportunity to talk, listen, laugh, share stories, and connect with people through something created by hand. 🎨❤️

Because in the end, art isn’t just something we look at. It’s something we experience together.
