Big news means more room for YOU. 🌻

With our move to TUPPS Brewery this October, we have more space than ever before and we are opening up more vendor spots to fill it.

We are looking for makers, artisans, and vendors whose work is rooted in Día de los Mu***os tradition, Mexican culture, and creative community spirit. Think handmade goods, folk art, jewelry, clothing, home décor, and anything that feels at home at a celebration of life, culture, and remembrance.

This is one of North Texas’s most engaged cultural audiences. 6,500 people showed up last year. This year we are making even more room.

Applications are open. Link in bio.

Most people think the word mariachi comes from the French word for marriage. 🎺

That story is almost certainly wrong.

Mariachi was born in the Jalisco region of Mexico long before French influence ever arrived. What started as an intimate string ensemble at rural celebrations became one of the most recognized sounds in the world. In 2011 UNESCO named it an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Not just Mexican heritage. Human heritage.

At Día de los Mu***os, mariachi is not just entertainment. It is an offering. Families bring musicians to the cemetery on November 1st and 2nd to play the songs their loved ones loved in life. The music carries what words cannot.

We wrote the full story on the blog and it is worth the read.

We have some exciting news to share with our McKinney community. 🌻

The 2026 McKinney Día de los Mu***os Festival is moving to a new home.

After five years of beautiful memories at Dr. Glenn Mitchell Memorial Park, we are taking this year’s festival somewhere new. That park holds a special place in our hearts and in the history of this celebration. But right now, an incredible opportunity came our way and we could not say no.

The 2026 McKinney Día de los Mu***os Festival is coming to TUPPS Brewery.

If you have spent any time in McKinney lately you already know that TUPPS has become one of the most beloved gathering places in our community. More space, more room for the moments you love, and a venue that has shown again and again that it knows how to bring McKinney together.

We are bringing every bit of the magic with us. The ofrendas. The performances. The culture. The community. All of it, just with a little more room to breathe.

The wait is almost over. 🌸

La Catrina is almost never without her flowers. There is a reason for that. In Día de los Mu***os tradition, the flower crown she wears represents the beauty and dignity we carry with us, even in death. It is not just decoration. It is meaning worn on your head.

Now you can make one yourself.

Catrina Flower Crown Workshop, Level 1: The Basics is a beginner-friendly class where you will learn the foundation of crown construction, color theory inspired by traditional ofrenda palettes, and how to select and layer flowers for a finished crown you actually made with your own hands.

No experience needed. All materials included. Just bring yourself and your creativity.

We are going to be honest with you! 💕

Every October, thousands of families walk into Downtown McKinney and experience something truly special. Live performances. Cultural art. Food. Music. Ofrendas. A community coming together to honor and celebrate. Every single bit of it is completely free.

But here is the truth: it costs roughly $60,000 to make that happen.

Right now we have raised $6,000.

We are a long way from where we need to be and October 10 is closer than it feels. Sponsorships are what make this festival possible. Without them there is no stage, no performers, no lights, no permits, no festival. We do our best to work with what we have.

If you are a business owner or know one, this is your moment. Your brand in front of 6,500 attendees. Your name tied to one of the most beloved cultural events in North Texas. Your investment giving thousands of families a free, meaningful night.

It takes a village to put this on. Will you be part of ours?

And if you cannot sponsor right now, share this post. That puts us in front of someone who can. It matters more than you know. 🌻
