Happy 251st birthday to the U.S. Navy! ⚓

To every sailor, past and present — and to the families who kept everything running at home while they were away — thank you.

Ornament season is officially here — and that means nativity season too. ⭐

Happy National Spread Joy Day! Also: Christmas is 75 days away. I checked. Twice. 🍪

These little Sweet Gingerbread Cookies — a boy and a girl set — are pure nostalgia. Hand-painted rosy cheeks, candy details, ready to hang on a kitchen tree or the big tree when it goes up.

They don’t stand on their own like our Mother’s Angels® (just being honest), but they sure do make a Christmas kitchen feel like home.

Happy National Angel Food Cake Day — yes, that’s a real holiday, and yes, we make angels. 😇

Also? Hallmark’s big Ornament Debut kicks off today. I love that people get excited about ornaments… and I also love that there’s room for the little handmade ones too.

Ours aren’t rolled out by the thousands from a factory line. Designed and handmade in the USA by Chris and me in Texas — and this Texas Bluebonnet Mother’s Angels® ornament is basically our state flower saying hi from the shop.

October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, and Remembrance Day is next week on the 15th. 💙

Awhile back I wrote about my sister Kristine — a sister I never got to know. Sharing that still feels tender, and I’m so grateful when someone tells me it helped them feel a little less alone.

Today is National Heroes' Day. 🌺

I’ve been thinking about the quiet heroes — the ones who showed up, served, or just held a family together when things were hard. Red poppies have long stood for remembrance, and our Poppy Mother’s Angels® ornament carries that little bloom right in the center.

It’s also one of the August birth flowers, so it works as a birthday gift too. But today, I’m thinking about the people we don’t want to forget.

Can we talk about this little toadstool for a minute? 🍄

Red and orange caps, little white spots, tiny angel wings. Our Toadstool Mushroom Mother’s Angels® ornament is one of those pieces that makes people smile the second they see it.

Toadstools stand for transformation, which is why I love her as a gift for someone starting a new chapter — a new job, a new home, a milestone birthday. She stands on her own on a windowsill or bookshelf, and when December rolls around she hangs right on the tree.

That being said, you don’t need a reason. Some of us just love a good mushroom.

November birthdays are sneaking up — and so are the mums on every porch. 🌸

Chrysanthemums are the birth flower for November, and our Chrysanthemum Mother’s Angels® ornament is that soft pink bloom right in the middle of the angel. It’s a birthday gift for the November babies in your life, and it looks right at home on a fall shelf until the tree comes out.

That being said, you don’t need a November birthday to love a mum. Fall just looks better with one.

Happy World Teachers' Day! 🍎

It’s World Animal Day, and it’s also the Feast of St. Francis, when a lot of churches hold a blessing of the animals. 🐾 So today, I’m thinking about cats.

When we lost our cat, we couldn’t find anything that felt… right. Nothing generic, nothing that would end up tucked in a drawer. So we made the Forever Loved Cat Angel.
