Track 4: Anxiety

I chose a bossa nova groove for its sensuality,
It is so the opposite of anxiety ~
In that space, I can feel so minimized in my body oe take part in the process by literally and figuratively picking away at myself.
Plucking the bass is playful tension
an invitation to lean my body into the furthest reaches of discomfort for the relief of feeling
I'm sure my future self is giggling because she never stopped trusting and she never stopped dancing.

Black Love in Verse was an explication on the milieu of black love and Im so glad I got to share in it ♥️ a few edits, no workshopping and valid as it already exists. I love this creative realm! And it wouldn't be possible without the unrelenting creativity and care of people like Nicole Price and Eszquire Harris ♥️ y'all are so dope

November 2025 Community Forge Open Mic was a gooood good time ♥️ serendipitous and unexpected reunions, familiar faces, bomb Kenyan food, and the warmest most soulful jazz sounds.

I signed up to sing first! Which is something I never do because 🥴🤧👾🫀 But I decided to do something a little frightening.

I had fun with this rendition of I Am!
