A note to our wonderful fans, generous sponsors, talented musicians, giving volunteers and scent-sational vendors:

After careful consideration, the McHenry Area Rotary Club has determined that Bands, Brews & BBQ will not take place this year. Rising costs and diminishing profits have been the trend for the last few years, and although it was a tough call, the decision was made to discontinue the fest, at least for now. McHenry Area Rotarians are mulling options for other fund-raising opportunities in the interim, and we'll let you know what transpires.

Meanwhile, we want to thank everyone who made this fest special since its 2012 inception, first as Blues, Brews & BBQ and later as Bands, Brews & BBQ. You made us smile. You also contributed greatly to your community, as profits were allocated to many deserving nonprofits, including Kids in Need of McHenry County, the Family Health Partnership Clinic, the District 156 Dual Credit Program, Rotary Youth Leadership Awards and others.

BANDS BREWS & BBQ is one of the many events put on by the McHenry Area Rotary to raise funds for local and international causes. Our local club consists of just over 20 members that live, work, and love the McHenry area. We have members of various ages, experience levels, and places in the journey of life. We embrace that diversity and would love to see it expand with more people of action who want to give back.

There are so many THANK YOU's to share! Bands Brews & BBQ takes every bit of the entire year to plan, recruit, book, and more! HUGE THANKS TO:

⭐️ All our volunteers! We couldn't do it without you.
⭐️ All our sponsors who give so much to make this event a success!
⭐️ All of our entertainers - every single one of our performances was amazing!
⭐️ All of our food & beverage vendors - delicious!!
⭐️ The City of McHenry, McHenry Parks Department & McHenry Police - we loved the fireworks and appreciate all your support!
⭐️ Our sound engineers for making sure the music was alway spot on!
⭐️ Most of all... YOU!!! Those of you that attended and purchased raffle tickets and beverages, your support enables us to in turn provide support to our community and those in need around the world. This year, the majority of our funds will be used to support the Dual-Credit program between MCHS D156 and MCC, allowing our students to get ahead by earning college credits while in High School!

Thank you so much to EVERYONE that volunteered, sponsored, bought tickets and participated in our 2024 BANDS BREWS & BBQ! It’s 6:00 and admission is now FREE for the rest of the night! Tennessee Whiskey Chicago takes the stage in about 25 minutes and FIREWORKS at 8:30. Come on out!
