We’re getting excited for the Kids Scavenger Hunt happening Saturday after the parade!

This is the first year for the scavenger hunt, and we’re hoping to grow it into an annual Wild Rice Days tradition that gets bigger and better each year!

Join us at the button booth following the parade to get your first clue!

🏆 THE MEDALLION HAS BEEN FOUND! 🏆

The search is officially over! Congratulations to Helen Olson, who found the Wild Rice Days Medallion on Monday, by the museum at the Sandy Lake Recreation Area!

Helen takes home the $500 prize!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who joined in the hunt, followed the clues and explored the area!

It was great seeing so many people get involved in the search, thanks for making the return of the Medallion Hunt such a success!

🎉 Meet the 2026 Wild Rice Days Grand Marshal, James Carr! 🎉

James was selected as this year’s Grand Marshal in recognition of his lifelong dedication to McGregor and the surrounding communities.

A lifelong McGregor resident, James has spent years serving his community — both as a member of the McGregor Fire Department and through his work with Frontier Communications, where he served as a lineman and installer.

For decades, James has been someone his community could count on — and this year, we’re proud to celebrate him.

Please join us in congratulating James Carr, our 2026 Wild Rice Days Grand Marshal!
