"Nox"

For a very long time the tribes of the world only worshipped the Sun. The Moon was disregarded, for the same people who praised the Sun for the light and warmth it provided, feared the darkness of night. The Moon was kind and never resentful of the Sun or the people, and even though the Sun's domain was day and her's was night, sometimes she could be faintly seen in the early hours of morning where she would watch and admire the people as they arose.

Suddenly, a shift began to happen within one tribe. Slowly at first, beginning with curiosity. Someone noticed a flower that would only begin to bloom as twilight began to blanket the world. With a little bit of bravery they began to observe more instead of retreating to shelters as night began to fall. All sorts of wonders began to appear; colorful and elegant moths would dance in the night sky akin to the vibrant butterflies of day, tiny specs of white light glittered across the entire sky in intricate patterns, the Moon herself with her gentle glow, casting just enough light across open fields to be able to witness such "new" discoveries. And just as the Sun was worshipped, now so was the Moon for she and her domain were simply misunderstood.

While she loved the people, she knew that daylight was suited best for them. This is when they were able to hunt and successfully gather food and when they were able to see best because their eyes were not like those of the owl or cat. So to show her appreciation for her newfound adoration, the Moon sent a gift; a beautiful stag with a pelt the same color as the night sky and a sparkling silver bridle made from stardust and meteors that would softly glowly in the moonlight. A gentle creature of peace, presented to the tribe to ward off the dangers of night and to remove negative energies so the people could rest well and fully recover to enjoy the day.

The Moon would continue to love from afar, still to this day being seen adoring her people in the early hours of morning from time to time.

I am excited to finally start creating the bridle of the mount I've been working on! Not all of these charms are for the same piece, but it's taken me a while to collect the ones that I feel "fit" the Guardian they'll be used to adorn.

The beautiful bead strands in the back are produced by House Number Four and are one-of-a-kind and intended specifically for this mount! She also has several other pieces for meditative practices and gives great advice on helping you become the best version of you on her Instagram page.

I can't wait to share this one with you all once it's finished. It's my favorite so far, and I think this one just might hold that title forever.

"The Ceryneian Hind" in his new home!

So thankful to his new owner for sending me this photo. He is displayed beautifully and I know that he will be cherished for days to come. ☺

He was the first fantasy mount I created, and I fell in love with the process and outcome. I am in the early stages of creating a new mount, inspired by life and growth. 🌿 It will take some time, but I know the results will be worth the effort.

Also, I have 3 additional mounts to transform! If you're interested in your very own one-of-a-kind kind art piece/guardian for your home I am open to commission work! Price varies on size of mount and the details you'd like included.

Happy (late) New Year everyone! 🎉 May 2022 be full of joy and prosperity for all! It's been an intense couple of years to say the least, but I'm speaking into existence now that our hardships will be coming to an end.

"The Ceryneian Hind"

In Greek lore, the goddess Artemis found a mighty herd of five Ceryneian hinds, beautiful beasts with golden antlers that were swift of foot and snorted fire. She was so enamored and impressed that she harnessed four of them to her golden chariot with golden bridles.

I was inspired by these mythical creatures and hand dyed this mount, hand painted the antlers, and hand crafted this one-of-a-kind golden bridle. The bridle is adorned with a wire wrapped amethyst crystal. There is no adhesive holding the bridle so if it's something you would want to remove/change in the future you are able to without damaging the mount.

SOLD

• Ethically sourced! This is a mount I took in that was no longer wanted. Rather than to see this beautiful 8 point buck tossed, I have given him a second opportunity to be loved and cherished. This animal was NOT killed solely for my art.
