Behind the scenes, I’ve been creating 🎨

I’m so excited to share that I’m doing a soft launch of Handmade Happiness by Heidi this weekend at my home!

Here’s a sneak peek of a few handmade, one-of-a-kind pieces ✨

More to come once everything is set up!

So excited for this next chapter 💛

✨ Finished What I Found ✨

This vintage vanity started as a $35 garage sale find… and turned into something completely different.

I layered deep green tones, softened them with a custom wash, and experimented with gold leaf to highlight the details without overpowering the piece. Every step was about building depth and character—figuring it out as I went and trusting the process.

And those cherry blossom knobs… they were the moment it all came together 🌸

Total investment: around $140
Time: more than expected—but worth every bit of it

If I were to sell this piece, it would be priced around $450.

This one is staying with me 💛 but projects like this are exactly why I love transforming vintage finds into something personal and unique.

I’ve also started working on a few custom pieces for others, so it’s been fun seeing how each transformation can take on its own style.

More to come for my challenge ✨

✨ Almost done with this transformation ✨

I spent today experimenting with gold leaf and learning a lot along the way… some spots I loved right away, others I had to step back and adjust.

This piece has definitely been a process—layer by layer, figuring it out as I go.

I’m not quite finished yet (waiting on the final details 👀), but I wanted to share a little peek at where it’s at right now.

Stay tuned… the final reveal is coming soon 💛

I took a little break yesterday… and came back today surrounded by thrifted treasures ✨

Spent the morning unpacking, styling, and dreaming up what these pieces will become for my booth. Some are quick clean-and-sell finds, some are getting a little Handmade Happiness by Heidi love, and a few are headed for full transformations (I’m already thinking ahead to Christmas in July 🎄).

This month I’m diving into a little personal challenge—transforming as many of these pieces as I can and sharing the process along the way 💛

I’m calling it my May Thrift Flip Challenge…

I’ll be posting before & afters, pricing, and all the little details as things come together.

Also… I’m kind of obsessed with these window jewelry pieces I made 😍 definitely planning more of those!

Tell me—what would you grab off this table first?

Day 26 of ✨
“Z” is for Zero Waste

To finish out this challenge, I focused on using every last bit—scraps, leftovers, and pieces from past projects.

Nothing went to waste.

I took all those tiny paper pieces that are usually tossed aside and turned them into “bits & bobs” ephemera—stamped, torn, and ready to use in future projects.

I also used scraps to decorate pockets and tags, giving new life to materials that might have otherwise been thrown away.

It’s one of my favorite parts of creating—finding ways to turn the smallest pieces into something meaningful. 💛

Day 25 of ✨
“Y” is for Yellow

Today I’m sharing pieces created from a yellow-toned masterboard, which led me to create a yellow snippet strip too.

I cut the board into journal cards, turning one larger piece into multiple smaller elements ready to be used.

It’s one of my favorite ways to stretch materials and keep things cohesive.

Day 24 of ✨
“X” is for eXtracted Art

For today’s project, I used images from an old art book and gave them new life as journal cards, tags, and pockets.

By layering them onto cardstock, these beautiful pieces can now be used and enjoyed in a whole new way.

It’s a reminder that inspiration can come from what we already have.
