Dear Dance Students, Families, and Friends,
I hope that this summer has been treating you well and that you’ve found a good amount of rest and play! It seems that summers get shorter and shorter every year. As the new school year approaches, I’ve heard from many of you inquiring about next season and so here I am giving an update. (I apologize for putting this off as I worked through some things).
Miss Sierra has taken a new job in Oregon, and we are so excited for her next adventure! We are thankful for what she brought to our community and studio and wish her the best of luck as she starts a new chapter this year.
After much thought, I have decided to take a break from teaching dance so I can focus on my family during this season. This was not an easy decision—teaching and dancing has brought me so much joy, inspiration, and connection—but I know it is what my family needs right now.
I want to thank this incredible community from the bottom of my heart. Your kindness and support have given each year purpose and kept me striving for more from my students and myself. The passion that I’ve witnessed from my students has been inspiring and watching the growth each year is priceless.
Though I am stepping away for now, I am sure this isn’t a forever goodbye. I started teaching dance when I was 18 years old, and I don’t think I could ever let it go completely. I look forward to teaching again when the time and circumstances are right. Until then, please know how deeply grateful I am for your support, encouragement, and understanding.
I have spoken with Miss Natalie and Miss Marina, and they are planning to continue their Tumbling and Grown Up & Me classes. Yay! If you have any questions regarding their future, I advise you to wait for more information from them. Please give them a little patience as they navigate this new process. I’m excited that their classes will continue!
Again, I thank you for everything. I’m so proud of what we’ve accomplished together. Owning my own studio was a dream I had as a young girl, and this community brought that dream to life. I’ll forever be grateful and will fondly cherish the memories.
With so much love,
Miss Candee
