FASTEST WINTER EVENT KEY FARM IN THE DIVISION 2! ❄️ KRAMPUS BOUNTY RESET METHOD
Looking to grab Winter Apparel, the Bell Ringer LMG, or even exotics like Eagle Bearer? You'll need Winter Keys — and this is currently the most efficient farming method while helping the community reach the 1,000,000 key goal for the White Krampus Suit.
⚙️ PREPARATION • Set World Difficulty to NORMAL → Key drop chance is the same on all difficulties, but enemies are much faster to clear on Normal (especially solo). • The Krampus bounty locks to your world difficulty when picked up.
👹 HOW TO GET THE KRAMPUS BOUNTY This works like the old Houndsmen event. • Kill Krampus Kill Squads / Minion Squads in the open world • Each minion has an ~8% chance to drop a Winter Key • Bounties can stack until completed
Known Spawn Locations:
📍 DZ South – Near the seasonal loot hoarder
📍 DZ East – Near checkpoint (can spawn from manholes)
📍 Jefferson Trade Center – Outside mission entrance
⏱️ Cooldown: About 10 minutes per squad ➡️ Fast travel between locations until the bounty drops
🧀 THE FAST FARM METHOD (DO NOT KILL KRAMPUS) Once you have the bounty, this is where the magic happens:
1️⃣ Start the Krampus Bounty (Downtown East)
2️⃣ Clear all minions across the bounty areas
3️⃣ Each minion can drop Winter Keys
4️⃣ DO NOT kill Krampus
5️⃣ At the final area, wipe intentionally • Throw out Revive Hive first • Let enemies kill you or self-nade
6️⃣ Respawn at a nearby control point
7️⃣ Restart the bounty — it remains active
🔁 Repeat endlessly
This bypasses the open-world spawn timer and lets you farm keys rapidly on Normal difficulty.
🎭 KRAMPUS MASK • Kill Krampus himself to earn the Krampus Mask (one-time drop)
• Completing the bounty also awards a Winter Key
• Recommended only after you're done farming keys
🎁 WHY THIS MATTERS
• You need 55 Winter Keys minimum:
• 25 for the Apparel Event
• 30 to donate for all community patches
• More keys = more chances at:
Eagle Bearer,
Regulus,
Lexington,
Quickstep,
Turmoil
