Congratulations to Eva Garza, Joy Hernandez, and Leilani Macias on their Palm Award nominations! We are so proud of you and all that you have accomplished. These students brought an amazing amount of creativity, leadership, and dedication to our program this year.

Technical theatre requires vision, patience, collaboration, and countless hours behind the scenes. The nominations recognize students who helped bring our productions to life in meaningful ways through their artistry and hard work. Thank you for recognizing tech theatre!

*HEAD DIRECTOR OPENING*
McAllen High School (McAllen ISD) is seeking qualified candidates for the position of HEAD THEATRE DIRECTOR for the 2026-2027 school year.
McAllen High is a 5A school in the Rio Grande Valley in a supportive district with a history of dedicated and talented students.
STIPEND- $9,500 plus additional stipends tor UIL events.
CONTRACT- 202 days (15 extra days paid at your daily rate).
TEAM- Campus has a total of three full-time theatre directors (Head plus two assistant directors).
The ideal candidate is a visionary leader with experience and passion for directing, acting, coaching, musical theatre, UlL, and guiding students in the college theatre audition process. This position has been open for a period of time throughout the school year, but we will begin interviewing soon.
