Pumpkins, fall colors, and time spent together! Oliver Castro earned 2nd Place in the Ages 5–8 category last year with “Carving Time.”

Now it’s your turn to get creative! Young artists ages 5–18 can enter this year’s STIBF Youth Bookmark Design Contest and show us where “Pages to Possibilities” takes their imagination.

The South Texas International Book Festival's Youth Bookmark Contest is officially open! Young artists ages 5–18 from Cameron, Hidalgo, Starr, and Willacy counties are invited to create a bookmark inspired by this year’s theme, "Pages to Possibilities." Show us your story, your dreams, where you hope to go, or what an amazing future could look like!

We’re looking back at some of the young artists who made last year’s Youth Bookmark Design Contest so special! Zul Martinez-Rodriguez earned 1st Place in the Ages 5–8 category with “Abuelita and I Cooking Memories,” a sweet design celebrating family and memories made together.

Calling all young artists! The South Texas International Book Festival Youth Bookmark Contest is officially open!

If you're between 5 and 18 years old and live in Cameron, Hidalgo, Starr, or Willacy County, we want to see your creativity! This year's theme is Pages to Possibilities. Design a bookmark that tells your story: where you've been, where you are now, and where you're headed. Or dream up a brighter future for the world around you.

Deadline to enter: Friday, October 2 at 5:00 PM
