After years of bringing readers, writers, and storytellers together, the South Texas Book Festival is growing into something even bigger. We're excited to unveil our new name and logo:

South Texas International Book Festival

While our name is changing, our mission remains the same: celebrating books, authors, literacy, and the power of stories. The new name reflects the festival's continued growth and the diverse voices, cultures, and perspectives that make our region unique.

Submit your application for the Local Author Showcase or Read Around Town and help showcase the incredible literary talent found throughout the RGV.

STBF Presents: Family Poetry Workshop is happening @ Main Library on Saturday, April 18 from 10AM-12PM. This all ages, family friendly event brings poetry to life with live readings from local and guest poets, along with hands on workshops and interactive activity stations for all ages.

Featured poets include Amanda Puryear El, Paola Carrasco, Veronica Isabel Gutierrez, and Emmy Perez. Teens can explore rap as poetry and find their voice with Amanda Puryear El, children can learn poetry recitation with Veronica Isabel Gutierrez, and everyone is invited to help create a community poem led by Emmy Perez.

Book signings and refreshments will be available. ✍️📚
