Merry solstice! I hope everyone has been enjoying their weekend 🫶

I was released from the hospital earlier this week and was doing ok for a day or so but unfortunately the infection came back. I've been pretty unwell so aside from a couple doctors appointments and more bloodwork I've just been sleeping and trying to heal. Today is the first day I've felt halfway human so I think we're headed in the right direction!

I ordered some more glass to be shipped since I won't be well enough to drive for a while yet and I've been working on some new patterns while in bed. Hopefully I can slowly start getting back into some actual glass work in the next week or so if all continues going well!

Thank you so much to everyone who has purchased items or donated, your support means so much. I don't have any family to help support me and due to my health, I don't have savings to fall back on. Y'all are keeping me fed and taken care of while I'm recovering and I can't thank you all enough for your help 🫶

Well that was much more than I bargained for! Surgery initially went "well" although I was in a lot more pain than they, or I, expected. Recovery was going really poorly, then a few days ago I started having very severe medical concerns and ended up in er where I was immediately admitted for sepsis and extremely concerning liver enzyme levels (normal is 10-50, mine were well over 500). I've been in the hospital for a few days now on 24/7 IV fluids, pain meds every 4 and 6 hours, and 3 different IV antibiotics, and am only just now finally seeing some improvement. I ate for the first time this afternoon since Wednesday and if I can keep my dinner down I should be cleared to go home tonight! I'm very excited to see my dogs again and for a shower and a real bed to finally get some sleep (they weren't joking when they said hospitals aren't for resting). I apologize for not updating everyone before now, I know a few people asked. I was just so incredibly sick and in pain that I wasn't able to do much of anything.

This was a huge hit financially and will set me back significantly on an already long recovery estimate. I won't be doing any markets for another 2 months but I'll be keeping my Etsy open and possibly doing some sales on one of the Facebook groups I'm in. If anyone wants to help support me while I am navigating this I would be eternally grateful 🫶

Now that I'm (hopefully) on the right track to improving health wise, I'll be starting to work on some new pieces soon. But I don't want to push myself and push my recovery time back even more. I'll do my best to keep everyone updated as I'm able. Thank you so much for your support and patience during this time 🖤

Registration day! My surgery is in just 3 days, I'm starting to get nervous 👀. I decided to leave my Etsy up one more day just in case anyone wants to place some last minute orders to help with surgery costs ($1,000) or living expenses (roughly $2000-$3000+ in missed markets) for the time I have to take off for recovery 🫶. I was able to get a few pieces photographed and listed before some clouds and rain started moving in!
