✨ WORKSHOP ✨

What have you left unspoken?

Led by our Unfolded founder Victoria Lopez ( Victoria Lopez) -- we will explore the 'moment' we step forward and give voice to what has been living within us

Through soliloquy, poetic monologue, and proclamation (and some other supporting poetic devices) we’ll demonstrate how emotion, audience, and poetic voice can transform what we need to say -- and how and when we choose to say it.

✨ WORKSHOP ✨

It’s back! 🌸

By popular demand, Emmanuel ( Emmanuel Con Dos Emmes) returns to lead our annual Haiku workshop

Known for capturing vivid moments in only a few lines, haiku is beloved for its simplicity, attention, and ability to hold nature, emotion, and fleeting experience in very few words.

We’ll explore the origins, playful qualities, and common misconceptions of haiku and discover how this poetic form balances structure with freedom.

Whether it’s your first haiku or your fiftieth, join us and see how a few carefully chosen words can say so much

✨ OPEN MIC ✨

Listen. Write. Speak.

Poetry gives us a reason to gather, hear one another, share our work, and build community through our written and spoken voices.

We’re excited to bring our next Unfolded Open Mic to parapamilya , one of Edinburg’s newest community spaces.

We’re honored to welcome Para Pamilya as our newest community partner and look forward to building spaces for creativity and connection together.

Since soft opening on July 13, has been creating a welcoming social lounge and café centered on gathering and connection, with beautiful interiors, espresso beverages, matcha, fresh lemonade, and a selection of baked goods.

Whether you’re sharing a poem for the first time, reading something you’ve carried with you for years, or simply coming to listen, there’s a place for you here.

Come early to grab a drink, settle in with your notebook, and spend time with fellow creatives before the readings begin.

✨ WORKSHOP ✨

You Will Know My Name
Led by Raven ( xyz_zyx______ )

What does it mean to leave your mark?

Stories, poems, songs, and works of art remain -- they become records of who we were, what we witnessed, what we loved, and what we refused to forget.

Through the lens of essential historical contribution and preservation, this workshop explores poetry as an act of self-recording.

Together, we'll reflect on identity, survival, memory, and the ways our words can preserve both personal and collective histories.

Whether you're writing about your family, your neighborhood, your culture, or your own lived experiences, your voice has the power to outlive the moment in which it was written.

Because history isn't only found in textbooks.
Sometimes, it's found in a poem.

The Hidden Motif: The Animal Within
Led by Ram Jam (RamJam)

What if the creatures we admire aren't so different from ourselves?

Participants will discover the "animal within" and transform those instincts, emotions, and experiences into poetry.

Whether you identify with the quiet patience of a deer, the fierce heart of a lion, or the adaptability of a coyote, this workshop invites you to explore the hidden motifs that shape who you are --

✨ WORKSHOP ✨

As creatives, we're often told to "put ourselves out there" but what does that actually mean?

This workshop explores how artists and poets can better understand their creative identity and communicate it with intention.

Through discussion, reflection, and writing, participants will examine the relationship between who they are, what they create, and how they share that work with others.

Together, we'll explore:

✨ Discovering your personal aesthetic and creative identity
✨ Clarifying your message
✨ Translating your vibe into visuals
✨ Identifying ideal platforms
✨ Creating a poem that embodies your brand identity

Whether you're building an audience, sharing your work for the first time, or simply curious about how your creative presence is perceived, this workshop offers practical tools for connecting your art to the people you want to reach.

✨️ WORKSHOP ✨️

What are the boundaries we place around the Self?

In a world that teaches separation, this workshop asks us to look closer at our interconnectedness: to explore how identity, grief, loneliness, tenderness, and belonging live within us and alongside one another.

Led by Tay (@1.splendidly_tay), this workshop invites participants into embodied practice, guided imaginative exploration, and expressive writing centered on narrative empathy and the Self as metaphor.

Together, we’ll reflect on what it means to exist in relationship: to ourselves, to others, and to the greater whole around us.

This workshop is open to poets and non-poets alike. Come as you are.
