***ABOUT THE EVENT***

The Actor’s Lab RGV hosted a 48-Hour Playwright Bake-Off on June 21-22.

The plays were required to contain at least 3 of 7 script “ingredients."

We received amazing, original scripts written over a 48-hour time period, and the top 5 scripts were cast and rehearsed for this performance called “By Us, For Us: A Night of Staged Readings” on July 17, 2021.

We are a new start-up theatre company designed to help aspiring Rio Grande Valley artists sharpen their theatrical skills!

Our mission is to cultivate our local talent and bridge the gap between high school and college theatre programs.

As part of our 2021 summer season, The Actor’s Lab RGV is providing theatre workshops for incoming high school freshmen through graduating high school seniors July 5-7, 2021!
