Dear Mayville State University Music friends,
In early June, I resigned from my position at Mayville State University. The reasons for this decision were many, but the wonderful support from students, fellow faculty and staff, and the community was not one of them. My family and I will be forever grateful that you welcomed us with open arms and I will never forget my time as a Comet.
As you all prepare for the fall semester, GET INVOLVED IN BAND AND CHOIR. STAY INVOLVED. Make use of the practice rooms, the music computer room, and the many other music courses Mayville State has to offer. Make sure you let your University know that music has a permanent place on campus by playing and singing your hearts out- the more students that we have performing in the auditorium may mean that no more construction projects take place back there.
Please welcome Dr. Byron Ward the new incoming music faculty member. Dr. Ward is a fantastic trumpet player and will bring a tremendous wealth of passion and expertise to the ensembles at MaSU. I know he is incredibly excited to work with everyone at MaSU!
