Hey quilt shop friends! Mary here. I just wanted to give a huge shout out to my team. They have been rock stars - even during the last week of the All Kentucky Tennessee Shop Hop and a prep week for the upcoming Mystery Harvest Shop Hop.

My family has had a challenging few days this week. There has been some scary health issue moments with my sweet mama, immediately followed up by my brother, aunt, and cousin being involved in a wreck that although bad, could have been so much worse. The girls stepped right up and gave me the freedom to leave the shop in their hands and not think twice. I've been able to focus on caring for, worrying about and praying for those folks that have taken care of me for years.

Hugs to you all, - and thanks for being awesome. :)
P.S. - Thanks to the hubby for always being around when I need your calm steadiness. Love you!

For our quilt shop friends that love to plan ahead, we’ve got you covered! Our fabrics are here for the solids version of the 2027 Block Challenge by Riley Blake Designs. As soon as our boxes arrive, we will have 12 kits available.

Our annual Fall Retreat is October 21st through October 24th at Blue Licks Battlefield State Park.

Set up will start after 9am on Wednesday 10/21/26.
We will wrap up Saturday evening. Bring your own projects, and come and go as you please.

Registration is $45 per person which covers your sewing space. Contact the park directly for your room reservation. Our group code is 5426, or you can just tell them Apron Strings.

All attendees will receive a goodie bag with a value of at least $55 when you sign in at the park. The registration fee is transferable, but not refundable.

We’ve had a great few weeks making new friends from the All Kentucky and Tennessee Shop Hop, and also visiting with so many of our quilt shop friends and family too! Thank you all for making the time to stop by for a visit. We appreciate you. 💛💛💛

The team has been working hard to keep the fat quarter wall, the 3 yard kits, and the Sassy’s stocked up with a variety of happy choices for those of you that prefer some quick pick options. We’ve also finally found a place for most of our Villa Rosa patterns.

On top of all that, the gals are really in a groove with our longarm services. 2 quilters and a quilt prep magician make things easier and quicker for us. An all inclusive price for the quilting, batting, and backing of your choice makes it quicker and easier for you! If you’d like more details, just message us.

If you haven’t made the trip to our new location yet, set your GPS for the Maysville McDonald’s. They are our neighbor. We are located in the tan building with the green roof next door to them on Moody Drive. Our hours for July and August are:
