On Monday, May 18th, City of Mauldin SC Government and Mauldin Recreation recognized some Mauldin High School students by proclamation.
Bianca Connell has established herself as one of the most accomplished athletes in school history. She is a four-time All-State wrestler, four-time state qualifier, and three time state champion. In addition to setting multiple school records, she has earned recognition at the national, state, and local levels for her achievements in athletics, academics, and community service. Bianca was recently honored by the National Wrestling Hall of Fame as the 2026 South Carolina recipient of the Tricia Saunders High School Excellence Award. This prestigious national award is presented annually to a female high school senior who exemplifies outstanding wrestling success, scholastic achievement, and
citizenship. Bianca has signed with Presbyterian College, where she will pursue a degree in Sports Medicine while competing at the Division I level in wrestling
Mauldin High School Cadet Color Guard members are Katherine Aya, Kensley Barksdale, Ellie Brooks, Parker Davis, Marie Gamble, Scarlett Granger, Harmony Link, Allison Parsons, Cairi Rai Lopez, and Samantha Rosser. The 2026 Mauldin High School Cadet Color Guard, led by Christopher Grant, finished first in the CWEA (Carolina Winter Ensemble Association) Championships. The Cadet Guard has placed 1st in five of the past six years.
