We have some exciting news to share with all our students and their families regarding the Mattoon Academy of Gymnastics and Dance. Effective May 30, 2025, the business has been sold and is under new management.
Mattoon Academy began in 1972 by Dave and Dawn Paulson. We moved into the current facility in 2000. It is always a difficult decision to give up something you have spent a lifetime doing but it is time to start a new chapter in my life. Debbie and I have quite a bucket list of things to do in retirement!
I will miss all the interaction with the smiling kids that enter the gym & dance doors each and every day. Our lives were touched by all the relationships and friends we made throughout the years with students, parents and all the great staff.
The new owner is familiar to many of you…. Andrea Walker. Andrea has worked for the academy in numerous capacities over the last 10 years. I am so excited that Andrea and her family will be taking over this great endeavor and I know they will have great success!!
Please help in welcoming Andrea, Troy, Noah, Peyton, Kaitlyn & Tyler in this new endeavor and give them your continued support. We also ask for your support of all the great staff at the Mattoon Academy of Gymnastics.
