Growing up my siblings and I had the privilege of watching Pat create. Many times there was a lesson learned too. A more recent example was when she painted "Winter's Visitor." I remember commenting, "what a beautiful robin." She replied, "it's a bullfinch."

Oftentimes Pat's paintings had a backstory. A great example is "The Den," created in 2018 and released at King James Galleries of Gettysburg. The painting depicts a boulder filled hill on Houck's Ridge in Gettysburg that was the scene of an intense battle on July 2, 1863 during the Civil War. In the background you'll notice a "witness tree." Pat's signature message of hope is revealed through the affectionate foxes and kit. There is also the gentle connection between the location name and the home for foxes. It is a favorite piece of mine. Patty Moss
