🎨 YOUNG AT ART STUDIO — MATAWAN
ART CLASSES RESUME THIS OCTOBER!
I’m excited to open the doors to Young at Art Studio again this fall!
This October and November, we’ll spend 8 Tuesday evenings exploring, learning, and creating together in a relaxed and welcoming studio environment.
🌿 LEARNING TO SEE LIKE AN ARTIST
These classes will be more than simply making a project each week. Children will learn to look closely, observe, experiment, and develop their own artistic skills.
We’ll explore the Elements of Art — line, shape, color, value, texture, form, space, and more — while using nature and our own neighborhood as inspiration.
Through drawing and painting, students will practice skills such as observation, composition, color mixing, light and shadow, and perspective.
We'll work with a variety of subjects and materials, including:
🖌️ Landscapes
🌳 Nature & the world around us
🏡 Our neighborhood & architecture
🍎 Still life
💧 Watercolor
🎨 Acrylic painting
…and more!
Each class will combine a little art learning with plenty of hands-on creating. There will be instruction and guidance, but also room for each young artist to explore and make the work their own.

🚗 PARKING & DROP-OFF
Suggested parking is available at the Flagstar parking lot.
The studio doors open at the scheduled class time. For everyone's safety, please walk your child to and from the studio porch.
