FEELING FABULOUS … our 40th Anniversary Recital Weekend was truly magical!

What a weekend. Seeing our dancers shine on stage, catching up with alumni and former staff members, watching families cheer from the audience, and having so many people come together to make these shows possible was incredibly special.

We laughed, we cried, we celebrated achievements, shared heartfelt speeches, said some difficult farewells, and welcomed exciting new beginnings. 💕 It was one of those weekends that reminds you just how much Body Language means to so many people.

Thank you to our dancers, families, staff, volunteers, alumni, and friends for helping us celebrate 40 years of dance, education, and growing great humans. We are so grateful for this community and the memories we made together.

Now let’s do it all again this weekend in Westbury!!!

🎓SENIOR SPOTLIGHT🎓

Hi! I’m Samantha Sinclair and I’ve been dancing at Body Language since I was 2 years old. My favorite moments over the past 16 years have been the memories made at nationals. Both my first and last nationals were held at Hershey, and it was a full circle moment last year to be able to walk the parks with the same friends. For younger dancers, my advice would be to forget about everyone else and what they think of you and your dancing. Don’t let people place themselves in front of you and let yourself be seen in every room, no matter what skill level you may be, and strive to always improve. Practice makes progress, not perfection! I hope others get the same experience I did with my second family and have the best years here! 🩷🖤

🎓SENIOR SPOTLIGHT🎓

Hi! I’m Caroline and in the fall I will be attending Syracuse University for finance and international relations, and I will be apart of the dance team. My favorite dance memory was the time I would spend between performing dances with my best friends. I have truly met my favorite people through Body Language and I can’t believe that it’s all coming to an end. I’m so grateful for all my teachers and the constant support they provide. My best advice is to never compare yourself to other dancers in a negative way, and to let yourself be inspired by their dancing instead. Everyone has their own talents and skills, and comparing yourself to what others have will only bring you stress.
