Hicksville Public Library open mic at 6:30pm on Monday June 22nd.

The Hicksville bi-monthly open mic is hosted by Paula Curci, Kirk Larsen and Robert Windorf.

Please come on time, at 6:30 p.m. as Genevieve will he just how to create a handmade joy --- a Small Journal --- before reading her poetry and then the Open Mic will follow!

Our Able Voices winner is on the
Long Beach Public Schools feed!
Congrats Ella!

We also honored two other wonderful talented writer's from Long Beach High. Both Kamille Cooper and Marin Meola, we're given their awards by Theresa Berzner & Peter V. Dugan and recieved our Shore Poet Award for Excellence in Poetry!

Sharon Denson from Disability:IN Connecticut/Northeast and I, along with Peter and Theresa and Pearl Ketover Prilik and all the family and friends, are extremely happy to have created this school to community pathway for the talented writers for our Long Beach High Students! Thanks also, to Ms. Silverman for her mentorship of these terrific writers all year long.

Long Beach High School is proud to recognize ninth-grader Ella Milone for recently receiving an Able Voices Youth Poets Award from Shore Poet.

Ella was honored during an awards celebration held on June 10 at the Long Beach Public Library, where she shared her winning poem, Cold Earth. The evening began with a reception in the library’s second-floor gallery, followed by the awards ceremony and an open-mic session.

Ella’s achievement highlights her talent, creativity, and passion for poetry, and the Long Beach High School community congratulates her on this well-deserved recognition.
