THE ROSE THEATRE TO PRESENT ITS 2026 YOUTH PRODUCTION ON MARCH 13-15
The Rose Theatre will present its youth production, "George Washington Ate My Homework," on March 13 and 14 at 7:00 P.M. and on March 15 at 2:00 P.M. All three performances will take the stage at the Rose Theatre (120 West Third Street) in Maryville, Missouri. This show features 18 area youth actors from 4th through 8th grades.
The story revolves around three young friends who accidentally push the red button on a time machine--causing famous people from the past to appear. Among those famous people are George Washington, Joan of Arc, Cleopatra, Albert Einstein, Florence Nightingale, H.G. Well, Grace Hopper (a computer pioneer) and two nasty female pirates. The three friends find it's MUCH easier to teleport people into the present than it is to send them BACK to the past!
Reserved seating is $8 per ticket (plus a small fee), with public sales beginning February 27. Tickets may be purchased at the theater's website: rosetheatremaryville.org.
The wacky humor and fast-paced action make this play suitable for audiences of all ages. For more information, contact Nina Dewhirst at 660 582-8916.
