The Tour de Blount and Foothills Striders community continues to mourn the loss of our former board member and former director, Joyce Frey.

Joyce’s passion for cycling and her dedication to Tour de Blount helped shape our event and inspired so many in our community. Her love for the outdoors extended far beyond the bike and she made an impact on our community that will be felt forever. 

We are sharing her service arrangements below for those who would like to pay their respects or keep her family and loved ones in their prayers.

4pm - 8pm with a prayer service at 6pm

We are grateful for the legacy Joyce leaves behind and the many lives she touched through her kindness, service, and love of the outdoors. Rest easy, Joyce. You will be missed, but not forgotten. 💙🚴🎣

Once again, the Tour de Blount community proved that even with the threat of a little rain… you still show up, still support, and still share the smiles in the miles. 🚴‍♂️🌧️

Tonight it is calm and quiet, but Saturday morning the Crawford House becomes home base for hundreds of miles, friendships, and purpose. 🚴‍♀️

We are grateful for the partnership with and for sharing such a beautiful place for the Tour de Blount.

Exciting news! There will be support on-site to help make sure both you and your bike are ready to ride! 🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️

Longtime Tour de Blount supporter Cycology Bicycles will be there to help with quick bike tune-ups and last-minute mechanical needs and PhysioLab will be available to offer guidance and advice for any aches, pains, or physical concerns.

We’re so thankful for these amazing local partners helping us create a safe, fun, and successful ride day experience for everyone!
