🛎️ AUDITIONS: Bus Stop
Join us today for the first round of auditions for our last main stage show of the 2026 season, Bus Stop!

You can stop by The First Baptist Church of Maryville any time TODAY from 1:00 - 4:00 PM. Auditions will consist of cold reads from the script, so feel free to show up, get loose, and have fun!

Can’t make it today? We have another round of auditions on Monday!

Performances of Bus Stop will be November 20th-22nd at The Chilhowee Club in Maryville.

We are gearing up for our LAST cabaret variety show of the year, and we are looking for performers! 👀

AUDITIONS: Chills & Thrills Cabaret Variety Show

This show’s theme is Chills & Thrills, so we are looking for any creepy, cooky, or spooky acts to fill our terrifyingly talented lineup of performers! 👻

Join us on Friday, September 4th any time from 6:30-8:30 PM to audition for our show! Can’t make it to auditions? No problem - send us a video audition by midnight on September 4th!

Please note: This is an 18+ event! All performers and audience members will need to be over the age of 18.

We are looking for:
Actors
Singers
Dancers
Storytellers
Poets
Puppeteers
Drag artists
Any and all performing artists!

Performances will be on Friday, October 9th and Saturday, October 10th at 8:00 PM at The Bird and The Book.

You have two ways to audition!

1) In-person auditions on September 4th from 6:30-8:30 PM at Union Grove Methodist Church (1151 Lane Dr, Friendsville, TN 37737)

OR

2) Submit your video audition to our email ([email protected]) by Friday, September 4th @ 11:59 PM. We are accepting video auditions from now until this deadline!

Your audition piece does NOT need to be your performance piece, and your audition does NOT need to be memorized.

Each act will have 2 or 3 rehearsals with the directors to prepare their act.

Rehearsals will be scheduled based upon your availability.

All performers will be called for our dress rehearsals on Sunday, October 4th and Monday, October 5th!

We are holding auditions for our LAST main stage show of the 2026 season, “Bus Stop”! 🎉

AUDITIONS: Bus Stop

What happens when a big ole’ snowstorm collides with some small town drama? We get a very interesting night full of romance, drama, and comedy! 🎭

AUDITION DATES:
Saturday, August 29th @ 1:00-4:00 PM
OR
Monday, August 31st @ 6:30-9:30 PM

Both audition days will take place at The First Baptist Church of Maryville (202 W Lamar Alexander Pkwy, Maryville, TN 37801)

AUDITION INFO:
Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. You do not have to stay the whole time for auditions. Auditionees need to choose one date and should not attend both days unless requested by the directing team. No experience or preparation required, just drop in any time!

REHEARSAL SCHEDULE:
Rehearsals will be based upon actors’ availabilities. Actors can generally expect 2-3 rehearsals per week.

PERFORMANCE DATES:
November 20th-22nd at The Chilhowee Club

SYNOPSIS:
A romantic comedy-drama set in a small Kansas diner during a fierce blizzard in 1955. A bus gets stranded, forcing an eclectic group of travelers to spend the night together. Stripped of their usual defenses by the situation, these isolated individuals are forced to confront their own deep-seated loneliness.

Over the course of one night, they form unexpected bonds, highlighting the universal human need for understanding, vulnerability, and genuine connection.
