Join us at Creative Spark Studio for Blacksmithing Basics with Bryan! Following in his great-grandfather’s footsteps, Bryan is bringing the traditional art of the forge to Maryville.

In this 2-hour beginner workshop, you’ll learn the fundamentals of hammering and twisting metal to forge your very own unique Marshmallow Roaster.

We get this question a lot: “How does Creative Spark Studio work?” 🙋

Great question. There are actually two ways to experience the studio — and knowing the difference makes all the difference.

🎨 WALK-IN STUDIO
No reservation needed. Just show up during regular studio hours, choose from our selection of projects, and our staff will set you up and guide you through. Pick from pottery painting, glass fusing, metal stamped jewelry, wood signs, alcohol ink tiles, acrylic pour, the Splatter Vault, and more.

Best for: date nights, girls’ nights, families, first-timers, spontaneous plans, and anyone who wants to create without scheduling ahead.

👩‍🏫 TEACHER-LED CLASSES
Scheduled events where an experienced instructor walks you through a specific, technique-focused project step by step — think needle felting, watercolor painting, embroidery, blacksmithing, jewelry making, and more. All materials included. Spots are limited and online registration is required to save your seat.

Best for: learning a new skill, a more guided experience, special occasions, or anyone who has their eye on a specific project.

🤔 NOT SURE WHICH TO CHOOSE?

Choose a walk-in if you want flexibility — no plan, no reservation, just show up and make something.

This Memorial Day, we’re thinking about the people who made things that lasted.

Not just the battles they fought — but the lives they built. The homes they made. The families they raised. The things they left behind that still matter today.

There’s something quietly powerful about making something with your hands. It’s one of the most human things we do — and it’s one of the things worth protecting.

Today we honor the ones who gave everything so we could keep doing it.

Meet the machines behind the magic. 🔥

When you make a glass fused piece or a pottery project at Creative Spark Studio, it doesn’t just dry on a shelf overnight. It goes into one of our kilns — and what happens in there is actually pretty incredible.

For glass fusing, we use a compact but mighty kiln with a 15" firing chamber, top and side heating elements for perfectly even heat distribution, and precision digital controls that take it up to 1,350°F. That’s hot enough to literally melt glass pieces together into one seamless, beautiful finished piece. The whole process — heating up, fusing, and slowly cooling back down to prevent cracking — can take several hours. That’s why your glass pieces aren’t ready the same day. They’re worth the wait. ✨

For pottery, we fire in a large production kiln with nearly 10 cubic feet of chamber space — that’s big enough to hold around 50 bowls in a single firing. It reaches temperatures up to 1,828°F and is controlled by a smart touchscreen with built-in Wi-Fi that lets us monitor every firing in real time, even from our phones. It’s industrial-grade equipment that guarantees your piece comes out consistent and beautiful every single time.

Forget whatever image just popped into your head. Creative Spark Studio isn’t just for girls’ nights and birthday parties.
