Saddle up for a special night at the Cow Palace! 🐎
On Saturday, October 3, join BACC for Women of Rodeo, a special event celebrating extraordinary women while raising awareness and support for those impacted by ovarian cancer. Wear your teal and join us in showing support for the ovarian cancer community! 🩵
This meaningful evening was inspired in part by the legacy of Sheila Varian, a trailblazer in the equestrian world, along with the many others in the Cow Palace family whose lives have been lost to ovarian cancer.
In 1961, Sheila became the first woman, and the first amateur, to win the Reined Cow Horse Championship at the Cow Palace. After being diagnosed with stage IV ovarian cancer in 2013, Sheila passed away in 2016. Her remarkable legacy continues to inspire, and we are honored to join the Cow Palace in remembering Sheila and others impacted by ovarian cancer through this special event.
And your ticket can make a difference! For every ticket purchased through BACC’s link, the Cow Palace will donate $1 to BACC, with additional funds raised in the arena to support our free programs and services.
