About last nights Full Moon Women’s Circle: According to the comment sections, there were spells being cast, souls in peril, witchcraft & sorcery and an alarming amount of concern for our eternal salvation.
What actually happened? Women sat in a circle. We talked about the things we carry. The things we’re ready to put down. The ways we’ve been taught to stay quiet, make ourselves smaller, keep the peace and swallow our own truth.
Women listened to other women. We laughed. We cried. We journaled. We made space for one another.
And maybe that is magic. Not the spell-casting, satan worshiping kind everyone seems so worried about. The kind that happens when a woman realizes she isn’t alone. When she says something out loud that she’s been carrying quietly. When another woman looks across the circle and says, me too.
That’s what we do at our monthly circle. Nothing to fear. Nothing to save our souls from or threaten eternal damnation for. Just women supporting women.
Although judging by the comment section, apparently that’s still pretty radical.
