Our Sunday Spotlight class this week is our Tuesday, Level 1 Hip Hop class. These little sassy divas bring the attitude every week. We are so proud of the growth we see in each of them every week. It is so fun watching them come out of their shells and grow into their personalities. Keep killing it, queens.

This week, we paid a visit to Ballet 3 and asked the question, “What is your favorite Julie Fox quote?”

Do you have something to add to the list of, “Things Miss Julie says allllll the time?”

Our Sunday Spotlight class this week is our Thursday Level 1 tappers. I love the level 1 classes. It’s their first classes out of the 3-6 year old class. Their first time getting to choose and explore different dance styles. They can choose from hip hop, poms, combo, and tumbling. These kiddos chose tap, which will always have a special place in my heart.

Dance Factory will be participating in the Pattonville Homecoming Parade on Saturday, October 10th. This parade is open to all Dance Factory dancers. If you decide to participate, you will need to have a DF Hot Pink Parade Shirt. If you already have this shirt from previous years, you do not need to purchase another.

If you would like to order a parade shirt, I must receive your order by MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 28th at NOON! The cost of the shirt is $23. Payable via check, cash or venmo. When making a venmo payment, please include your dancers first and last name, as well as shirt size. If ordering a 2x or larger, the price is $26.

This week for our Midweek Mention, we asked our kiddos “which bigger kid do you look up to the most?”

It’s so cool to see these littles have such inspiring role models. We are so proud.

This week’s Sunday Spotlight class is our Friday night tumbling class. These kiddos are ages 6-9 years old. They come in being able to independently back bend. Throughout the year they will work on limbers, walkovers, and will start introducing aerial cartwheels and back handsprings.

Bonus points in you can spot the parents in this picture.

This season, we will also be bringing to you Midweek Mention; a chance for the students and staff to give shout outs to dancers that really make us DF Proud.

The question of the week is, “who is someone you think works really hard in class?”

09/13/2026

Welcome to our FIRST Sunday Spotlight. Every Sunday we will shine a light on some of our amazing dancers and the things they have been accomplishing in class.

This week we visited our Combo 1 class. These kiddos will learn the intro to jazz and lyrical, they work on technique, and make friends along the way. These little nuggets are ready to work hard this season.

We love being back and seeing all these faces again. Welcome home, dancers. We missed you.

Welcome home? At the studio?

Well. I guess it depends on what “home” means to you. For me, home is a place of safety and comfort. A place of refuge. Home is a place of belonging. A place where you are loved, understood, and free from judgement. Home is a place of people and connections, often defined as family or loved ones, or a supportive community, rather than just walls and a roof. Home is a state of mind. A sense of familiarity that you can take with you when you leave. Home is an emotional sanctuary.

So, yes. Welcome home, dancers. We have missed you.
