We are proudly Uptown Martinsville's First Woman-owned Tattoo Studio, located in the Historic Henry Hotel building! In addition to custom tattoos, we also have a piercer, offer unique art and shopping, community events, a relaxing atmosphere, and so much more! ✨

We really don't take ourselves too seriously though 😏

For every Juneteenth Announcement we’ve seen on socials over the last few days, we see people reacting with anger and laughter- saying it’s not a real day. We want to believe with all of the love in our hearts that maybe it’s because many people just don’t understand the importance of today. So, I wanted to take a moment today to talk about Juneteenth, not as a trend, but as a piece of history that matters.

On June 19, 1865, enslaved people in Galveston, Texas finally learned they were free, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation had already declared it. Two years of freedom that should have been theirs, delayed.

Can you imagine living in a world with no access to news, no ability to read, no social media, no one to tell you that you’re free- so you’re kept captive?

Juneteenth isn’t about division. It’s about remembering a painful chapter of our history, honoring the resilience of those who lived through it, and celebrating how far we’ve come, together. It’s a day for reflection, for joy, and for community.

However you choose to acknowledge today, I hope it’s with an open heart 🤎 here at Magnolia we love freedom in all of its forms, and we celebrate it every way that it comes.

✍🏻 We love waking up to great Google (and Facebook!) reviews!!! Take a moment to leave us a positive review whenever you have time. It does so much good for a small business to have positive reviews.

🩺 Especially since we don't "doctor" our reviews.
No fluffing, no bots, no AI. We've had a few bad reviews. Some that were completely erroneous over the years and have reported them as such and removed.. and a few that were not removed, unfortunately. Such is the way when you take the good with the bad, but we choose not to simply block the reviewer to make it seem as though we have a "perfect" score, because dishonesty is gross y'all 🤷🏻‍♀️

🤖 On that note- We never EVER use AI at BluTattoo.
Our flyers are made by us using apps like Canva.
Our words are our own.
Our photos are not excessively edited.

Be discerning. If it seems too good to be true on the Internet.. it probably is 😂✌🏻
