🦌❤️ A little girl, two beautiful bucks, and a memory she’ll never forget!

There’s something truly special about watching a child’s excitement when they get this close to these magnificent animals.

At Hoosier Deer Park, it’s moments like these that remind us why we love sharing our deer with visitors. Seeing the wonder and excitement through a child’s eyes never gets old! ❤️

There’s just something special about seeing a beautiful whitetail buck standing in his natural woodland surroundings. 🦌🍂

A magnificent set of antlers, a peaceful forest, and one of our younger deer following close behind.

This is what we love about raising whitetails at Hoosier Deer Park. Sometimes the best moments are the simplest ones. ❤️

Some moments are just too precious for words! ❤️🦌

A little girl, a gentle buck, and a beautiful connection with nature. This is what Hoosier Deer Park is all about — creating unforgettable memories and giving children the opportunity to experience these magnificent animals up close.

Sometimes the simplest moments become the most treasured memories. 🥰

Sometimes the best Deer Park experience is just finding a stump, taking a seat, and letting the fawns come to you. 🦌❤️

Our fawns are loving their newfound freedom in the big adult pens—and they certainly haven’t lost their love for people!

I think this young man could have sat there all day getting loved on. 😊

Looks like somebody forgot to shave this morning! 😂🦌

Check out those whiskers! I think this handsome guy is starting to grow himself a little rut-season beard. 😂

Who knew bucks had to worry about their morning grooming routine too?

Good animal care starts long before there is a problem. 🦌

At Hoosier Deer Park, one of the most important parts of responsible stewardship is simply knowing our animals. We spend time with the herd every day, watching how each deer walks, eats, interacts with the others, and responds to its surroundings.

Small changes in appetite, behavior, posture, or movement can sometimes be the first indication that something isn’t quite right. Daily observation gives us an opportunity to recognize those changes early and respond appropriately.

Responsible animal stewardship isn’t only about providing food, water, and shelter. It’s about paying attention to the individual animals in your care and making their health and well-being a priority every single day.

That’s a responsibility we take seriously at Hoosier Deer Park. ❤️🦌

🦌 Animal Stewardship: Knowing What “Normal” Looks Like

One of the most important parts of caring for animals happens before you ever reach for medicine or call the veterinarian—it starts with observation.

At Hoosier Deer Park, spending time with our deer every day helps us learn what is normal for each animal. How are they walking? Are they eating normally? Are they interacting with the herd? Are their ears alert? Is one deer suddenly keeping to itself?

A small change in behavior can sometimes be the first sign that something isn’t quite right.

Good stewardship means knowing your animals well enough to notice those changes early. It’s one of the advantages of being hands-on with our herd every single day.

Sometimes the best tool in animal care isn’t something in the medicine cabinet.

It’s simply paying attention. ❤️🦌
