As the brisk air blows and the leaves begin to turn, the surest signs of Fall have arrived. What better a way to herald in the beginning of spooky season than with the availability of tickets for our Fall youth musical: The Ghosts of Morgan County!

"Six unsuspecting teens set out on a midnight journey to the legendary Stepp Cemetery, hoping for a thrilling encounter with one of Morgan County’s most famous ghosts. But what begins as a daring adventure soon becomes an unforgettable journey through the county’s haunted past. As eerie spirits and chilling legends from the early 1800s to the present come to life, the teens discover that every ghost has a story- and every story has something to teach."

Filled with mystery, humor, heart, and authentic Indiana folklore, The Ghosts of Morgan County is a captivating new musical written by the Depot Storycrafters Guild about courage, friendship, and the power of understanding the past. By the night’s end, the ghosts aren’t the only ones transformed.

The long awaited cast list is here at last!! Congratulations to the cast and crew involved with The Ghosts of Morgan County. Tickets will be available next month!

"There are some stories that are written on paper, and then there are stories that are created by people who are willing to dream together.

Since March, the participants of the Depot Story Crafters Guild have been doing just that- imagining, writing, researching, creating, and shaping the musical we are bringing to life this fall- The Ghosts of Morgan County.

Every idea, every character, every twist and turn has come from their creativity. They are the creative heart behind it." - a note from Youth Director Robb Enlow.

Auditions are right around the corner! We also would like to welcome Mandy Polley to our Youth Director team with Robb Enlow and Haley Patrick! We are looking for youth ages 8 to 16 (flexibility for mature children) to come out and audition to be a part of the next big venture in the Martinsville Arts Council's Youth Programming.
Audition Dates: August 17th & 18th, 6:30-8:00 PM
Location: The Depot Theatre (210 N Marion St, Martinsville, IN 46151)

Here is what you need to prepare for auditions:

Each student will participate in three audition areas:
Memorization, Sight Reading, and Vocal Performance.
Please review expectations carefully so your child arrives
confident and prepared.

1). Memorization
Choose one of the two selections below. Your child should
fully memorize their chosen piece and be ready to act it out on stage.

2. Sight Reading
Students will be grouped in pairs or trios to read from a provided script: The Ghosts of Morgan County No preparation needed—this will be read cold.

3. Vocal
We will teach a short song during auditions. After learning it together, each student will sing individually for the directors.

Last Fall we gathered around the campfire for the Legend of Sleepy Hollow. Now, the Martinsville Arts Council is excited to announce its next endeavor: The Ghosts of Morgan County! Robb Enlow and Haley Patrick are excited to bring to life our next journey in our Youth Theatre Program!

Rest now my friends, rest now forever...

Congratulations to the cast and crew of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street for their spectacular run! 8 sold out shows alongside a packed preview night full of fellow actors and directors, 9 standing ovations, and a monumental record set as the largest and most elaborate production pulled off at the Depot Theatre! Thank you to all who attended the tale and came to support our venue. Without your love and support we would not be able to do shows like this.
