This is a post that we should not have to make. It is honestly what we consider "common sense". We strive to make our venue affordable, clean, and provide amenities that other event spaces don't. When our event space is disrespected it costs us extra money. We have costs to clean between events, garbage removal, supplies, etc. Yes, that is the cost of doing business & we understand that. However, when we have to pay a fine due to garbage being left on the sidewalk by the front door, repainting an area of the wall, and 2 times the normal cleaning fee amount that gets expensive and thats where a security deposit comes into play. Ourselves nor our incoming guests want your open bag of flour or ice (in a refrigerator)! Our incoming guests do not want to wipe off your food from your event on the tables due to negligence of using a tablecloth or simply wiping the table prior to leaving. We provide written Closing Guidelines at the venue on things to PROPERLY do prior to leaving. These guidelines are basically common sense, and goes back to the adage to leave things "the way you found them". We had someone hold an event recently who must think otherwise. Attached you will find the photos of the venue when we arrived to prepare for the next party! Understand sometimes we have a 1 hour window to get things clean & restocked for the next event coming in. After the cleaning up the mess of this particular event took 2 people a little over 2 hours to complete (normal time is 45 minutes upto 1 hour) the host is upset that their deposit isn't getting returned.
