We extend our warmest wishes for a very happy belated, and early 75th birthday to Kathy and Bob Tomlinson. For years, they have graciously opened their home to our group and have been instrumental in teaching and promoting folk dancing throughout our community.
Bob has dedicated countless hours each week to investing in numerous groups over the years through teaching, mentoring, and founding new organizations. He is the reason so many people in this area have discovered and enjoyed folk dancing for decades.
Kathy, alongside Bob, has welcomed dancers into their beautiful home week after week. She has extensively studied the traditional costumes and hairstyles of many cultures, preparing our group and past groups for performances and affectionately done dress-up sessions with us for fun. In addition to her organizational contributions, she has been a steadfast supporter of the folk dance community, attending folk dance camps with Bob for many years.
We are profoundly grateful for this remarkable couple and honored that they have been such an integral part of our lives and our group, which was founded in Bob's studio—affectionately known as "Bob's basement."
