Third Eye Ceramics

Third Eye Ceramics Third Eye Ceramics is a way for me as an artist to explore the world and the market that surrounds it in an integral way. Thank you for reading.

I currently attend Georgia Regents University to obtain my Bachelors in Fine Arts. I also currently apprenticeship at a local pottery store called Tire City Potters. For my sculpture and gallery work I strive to bring question into the minds of an individual about the world that does not stand still around them. I work in an integral way to bring political and personal issue forward to bring about

awareness. I use hand building with ceramics as my material, I use ready-made strategies, and Avant Garde techniques in my gallery works. As of Spring 2015 I have begun a project called Homeless Homes and hope to bring about a show within the year. In my production work, I strive to create functional pottery for one to use around the house, office, or place of business. My ceramic wear is food friendly, microwavable, and dishwasher friendly. I hope that people not only enjoy the many functions of my wheel thrown pots but also can use them in an integral way. I have just started phase one of my business which is to create the page and to get my website up and running. Phase two will be to begin selling my work and to have scheduled gallery shows. And hopefully, down the road, phase three will be to have other ceramic artist to join my team to build a company. I hope you all enjoy the artwork!

Magnolia is looking for a forever home! I love how Magnolia turned out. The freckles. The flower. The subtle warm smile. The pink glowing glaze. Just everything. So obsessed.

Magnolia is getting its flower today! Three more peddles to go, some touch ups, and we’ll be ready to start the firing process once fully dried.

Magnolia is getting feet today. Then a magnolia flower held in its hand.

Say hello to Magnolia! It’s rare that my pop people get names before they are fully fired. But this one spoke to me while on the wheel and said “I want a scalloped rim and my name to be Magnolia.” So who am I to deny the request?

Started working on a painting. I’m enjoying the direction it’s going. 😁
