Dear FBMS Theater Families,
I am still beaming from this weekend’s theater festival—and I am incredibly grateful for all of you.
Because of your generosity and support, we were able to host an amazing METG Festival:
-- A total of 20 families contributed donations, including 23 cases of water, 17 concession items, and 10 breakfast contributions that helped keep everyone energized and cared for throughout the weekend.
-- On Saturday, 15 volunteers dedicated a combined 100 hours to set up and prepare.
-- On Sunday, 23 volunteers gave another 170 hours to keep everything running smoothly. That level of commitment is extraordinary.
And those impressive numbers do not take into account the hours a core group of you spent meeting to plan the event, organizing all of the moving parts of feeding and supporting 6 schools of over 200 kids and 30 adults.
Because of that support, our students were able to fully focus on what they do best. Our 45 student performers and crew members dedicated over 70 hours to rehearsal—and it showed. Their hard work and talent earned our show 5 All Star Awards and a Gold Medal, an incredible achievement that made us all proud.
But even beyond the awards, what mattered most is what they experienced. They saw what it looks like when a community comes together to support one another with generosity, teamwork, and heart.
