SMSU Entertainment and Theatre Arts Program SMSU Entertainment and Theatre Arts offers a BA and 3 minors, and produces 2-4 shows each year. The We also offer a major and 3 minors.

SMSU Entertainment and Theatre Arts produces 2-4 shows each season. Students of any major, community members, faculty, and staff can participate on stage and backstage.

Congrats to Prof. Schmidt for her Cloris Award nomination, Lead Actor in a Play category for the Des Moines run of Apples in Winter! The Cloris Awards are the Des Moines area theatre awards, named for the legendary Cloris Leachman (The Mary Tyler Moore Show, The Last Picture Show, Young Frankenstein), who was born and raised in Des Moines.

This will be a great opportunity to see theatre in action as a way to connect communities, while also having a good meal...
