MaryB turned 94 yesterday! 🎂🌸

She enjoyed a wonderful day filled with flowers, birthday cards, phone calls from loved ones, a nice dinner out, and lots of smiles. Most importantly, she was happy and in great spirits.

At 94, every birthday feels more precious. We’re grateful for another year with this amazing lady and all the joy she continues to bring to those around her. ❤️

Two years ago, MaryB broke her leg. The statistics for people over 90 after a major break aren’t very encouraging—but she clearly didn’t get the memo. Today at 93 she was out enjoying the Snake Saturday Irish parade (her choice). It’s been such a tough road to go down together but times like this are rewarding. Enjoying these bonus years, and celebrating every one of them. ☘️

An outing to see Titanic: An Immersive Experience at Union Station KC this week offered cool effects and facts about the doomed voyage. It was eerie to visualize what it was like in rising waters, watch the boat sink, and view the lifeboats far from capacity floating in the water. So many more could have been saved.

In the words of a song we used to sing in Girl Scouts: 🎶 Ooooh they built the ship Titanic, to sail the ocean blue. And they thought they had a ship that the water would never go through. But the Good Lord raised his hand, said this ship will never land. It was sad when the grey ship went down.🎶

Had to include a photo from lunch that followed - the most delicious Southern food at the popular Peachtree Cafe’teria.

Happy New Year! 🎉 MaryB rang in 2025 at Riverstone Retirement Resort with the amazing Overtones of Kansas City—what a great show! Even when the Amazon ball drop failed, the crowd still cheered like champs and had a blast.

MaryB had a ‘blast’ enjoying TubaChristmas at Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts! 🎄🎶
More than 650 tubas filled the hall across two concerts, with musicians ranging in age from 11 to 84½. Proof that holiday cheer—and tuba power—has no age limit! 🎺✨
