I love seeing the farm through different perspectives in photography. Here is a peek at a shoot we did over the summer. Behind the lens is with an eye that captures the lightness of air. Her photos always brighten my world and show subjects in such an ethereal and magical way.

Grace’s Garden. The first time I saw this place, in August of 2018, I could tell a gardener once lived here. Lo and behold, I found a volunteer petunia that must have made it all these years without any maintenance. After construction, regrading, hard scaping and final mulch and plantings…I never dreamed that one of those old petunias had made it. There is a random volunteer tomato too, but that’s a whole other story. 😉
Neighbors have told me stories of the Honeycutts and Riddles, especially Grace, the gardener. Her descendants said she had quite the garden. I have managed to save her hostas, spireas, gladiolus, blueberries, shrub rose, iris and of course, the boxwood.

Here is a peek inside. The house has a wonderful center hall and stair. It’s hard to capture the whole thing in one photo. Here is end of the center hall with 5 of the 8 hall doors! Each door has it’s original painted faux wood-grain finish. Our little companion peaks out from the dining room- sweet Annie!

This is my favorite pic of the day. The Big Day. When I create a brides bouquet, I am thinking of her. This time, I thought of each of them. The best part of working a wedding day as a florist, is when I deliver the brides bouquet and I see her reaction. This time, it was double the pleasure. 🤍🤍 I was so happy that and were each drawn to the bouquet that I created for them specifically. What a dream! These two beautiful women turn around, and looked in the mirror with the expression to capture it all. The best moment of hostessing a venue on a wedding day, is when you get to tell them “it’s time!”
This moment was all of it 🤍🤍🤍
