In 1998, a 23 year old Drew Barrymore brought new life to the classic Cinderella story in ‘Ever After’, a Renaissance set retelling that reimagined the old tale.

Fans still swoon over her Ferragamo look for the ‘Ever After’ Gala at Rome's baroque Palazzo Corsini. The corseted ball gown featured a sweeping tulle skirt layered with hand dyed silk scarves and pearls, famously known as the “Fifty Scarves Dress.”

Ferragamo also crafted the glass slippers for ‘Ever After’: a Renaissance inspired sabot, delicately hand embroidered with a silver ribbon threaded with Venetian pearls.

For years, the dress was incorrectly credited to John Galliano during his time at Dior.
